Whether you are applying for SSDI, SSI or both programs, there are a set of requirements you need to be eligible. Do you know if you qualify?
Even if you have what seems to be the perfect application, the SSA has the authority to deny your application: it could be a typo, or even insufficient medical records. One thing we do know for sure is it’s hard to keep track of what you need and have without help. There are financial and work credit credentials that must be met. Oftentimes, people seek counsel from a trained disability advocate to get the maximum amount of benefits they deserve.
Also, keep in mind if you are denied, it doesn’t mean all hope is lost. You can go through the appeals process, and choose someone to represent you for a hearing.
All of this and more will be discussed and covered in greater detail in our free guide, “The Ultimate Guide to Applying for Disability.”
